Some say that the Internet is addictive to the point where it controls one’s life, others say that it is not the same as getting high or drunk to an extreme. Addicts had strong compulsions to use the internet to check email, make blog entries or visit websites or chatrooms. Online pornography and online gambling have received the most attention. Users of course use other sites too, including chatrooms, shopping venues and special-interest websites.
